Description

The M1 57mm anti-tank gun was based on the British QF 6pdr, which was also utilized by some American troops. It was first incorporated into US Army units in 1943, following their encounters in North Africa where the smaller 37mm gun proved ineffective against German armour. By mid 1944, the M1 became the primary anti-tank gun for the US Army and saw action in Italy and Northern Europe. In Bolt Action games, it can be included in Artillery Platoons and serves as a Medium Anti-tank gun, capable of being towed by most vehicles.
